Someone was thinking of you

A small gift.
A pretty broad perspective.

Some gifts find a place on a shelf. This one finds a place in your story.

Someone wanted to give you something special: a personal connection to a real place. A reason to look forward to something, to enjoy the fresh air, and maybe even to share an adventure together.

Why don't you send a picture with the caption: "Look, that's where I want to go. Thanks for this wonderful gift."

And if the trip has to wait a little longer? Just thinking about Ireland is already a good start.

Small plans. Beautiful stories.

The Atlantic Ocean sets the tone for the evening.

Green Island.
Colorful Stories.

Ireland is the sea and music, narrow streets and sweeping views. And sometimes a rainy day that ends in the coziest pub.

The Skellig Coast begins right around your property. If you have more time, you can turn this into a truly beautiful tour of Ireland. The long distances are better suited to a round-trip tour than a short afternoon excursion.

Irish Stew with Meat, Potatoes, and Vegetables – Serving Suggestion

Warms the heart. And the stomach.

Irish stew is the cozy counterpart to the Atlantic breeze: a hearty stew, often made with lamb, potatoes, and vegetables. It calls for time, not haste.

A Landgeschenk is meant to bring joy. Here, we’ll explain what you’ll receive, who will take care of things, and what to expect when you arrive.

Your gift. No endless cycle of expenses.

One-time payment. No ongoing property costs. Managed by HappyLandGifts.

And for your visit? Pack your backpack, check the weather, and leave nature just as beautiful as you found it.

Will I have to pay any additional costs later on?

No. Pay once, enjoy it for a long time: There are no ongoing property costs or annual payments for your land gift. We also cover the property tax. Of course, you’ll be responsible for your own travel expenses and gear.

Do I have to deal with taxes, administrative matters, or government agencies?

No—we'll handle all the paperwork for the property. HappyLandGifts remains the owner and takes care of management as well as all legal and regulatory obligations associated with ownership. You can focus on looking forward to it.

What actually belongs to me—and what am I allowed to use?

Your personal share is assigned to you. You are granted the right to enter and use the entire property. Ownership of the property remains with HappyLandGifts; you do not become the owner through the land gift.

How long do my rights to the land last?

Your rights to the land are valid indefinitely. So your piece of Ireland has no built-in expiration date.

What am I allowed to do there?

Have a picnic, read, relax, and spend the night in a tent. Nature stays just as it is: no buildings, no tree cutting, no planting, and no open campfires. Take your trash with you when you leave. And your memories, too.

Is the property a public park?

No. The property is private and reserved for use by HappyLandGifts landowners.

Can I transfer or bequeath my Landgeschenk?

That's not possible at this time. We're working on a solution for the transfer.

Where exactly is my little piece of Ireland?

On Valentia Island in County Kerry, in southwestern Ireland. Above, you’ll find a map, a site plan, and coordinates. Click on “Plan Route,” enter your starting point—your GPS will take care of the rest. You choose the soundtrack.

Can I stay overnight on the property?

Yes, a night in a tent is part of the HappyLandGifts package. Bring your sleeping gear and everything else you’ll need for the outdoors. Check the weather and any current local advisories before your trip. With a little luck, the starry sky will provide the evening’s entertainment.

How much is my personal share?

The 2,096 m² is the total area of the property. You can find the size of your personal share on your deed or in your offer. The cadastral map shows the entire parcel; individual land grants are not marked separately on it.

What should I pack in my backpack?

Water, sturdy shoes, protection from wind and rain, and clothing appropriate for the season. If you're spending the night outdoors, be sure to bring suitable sleeping gear. Snacks are also a pretty good idea. Check the weather one more time before you leave.

What is the purpose of the land registry—and how do I register?

Once you register using your name and email address, your land ownership will be activated and documented. Have your deed ready, open the registration form, and fill in the information—and just like that, your piece of Ireland will be listed in our land registry.
